So here's the route I took this morning:
I forgot to reset my computer before the ride, so I have no idea how long it really took me, maybe 10-15 minutes, but I was sure beat by the time I got home.
Observations from my second ride:
- Still can't get in the clips with my right foot. Clipless pedals and shoes are looking more and more tempting.
- My rear end was killing me and I had to readjust a few times. Real shorts may be in my future. Under mesh shorts of course.
- A longer ride is going to at least require another water bottle and cage. Or even a Camelbak, which I already own.
- A seat bag with tools and room to store my cellphone and id is probably a good idea too.
- And finally, I gotta remember to reset the computer either before each ride or when I get back to the house.

How is the vending machine battle coming? You could quit carrying quarters, and get your bank to give you some $2 bills as pocket cash... Vending machines don't take 'em, and you'll become known as the $2 bill guy. I'm the "Dos Gringo" around here.
How bad are the post-ride aches?
I haven't touched the vending machine this week with the exception of a diet Pepsi because I needed some late night caffeine. Heck, I even missed out on pretzel day yesterday because I had no money.
Post ride, I collapsed on the couch until my heartrate slowed and I stopped shaking, but after a shower, I was good to go, still sweating a bit, but otherwise, not in pain in the least.
